I’ve been hearing about the execution of Troy Davis, off and on, this week. I’d never heard of this man before and I say this with sadness. It’s time to focus on my passion for real journalism and start paying attention to what’s going on around me more often.
Life has been hectic as the editor of Dialect Magazine, so when the stories find me, it’s easy to slip into a state of satisfaction. Although letting the stories find me is all good, I also want to be more proactive and seek out the stories that will add that extra element of grit, fresh perspectives, and real news to the SocioPolitical section of Dialect Magazine.
