I had the pleasure of interviewing Tracie Howard, nationally acclaimed author, whose books include: Revenge is Best Served Cold (2001) (with Danita Carter), Talk of the Town (2002) (with Danita Carter), Why Sleeping Dogs Lie (2003), Success is the Best Revenge, (2004) (with Danita Carter), Never Kiss and Tell (2004), Gold Diggers (2007), and Friends and Fauxs (2009).
Tracie moved to New York and found that interesting things were happening to her. Driven by desire, she wrote her first book to share her story. At the time she was Director in Sales at American Express. She decided to resign when she got her three book deal with Putnam Penguin Publishing.
Not only is Tracie a well known accomplished author but she’s also a humanitarian. She’s spent time in West Africa as a guest lecturer and professor at the Institut Supérieur de Management in Dakar, Senegal. While there she was able to address social and culture issues among others in Africa.
Tracie has surpassed the boundary of just a trendsetter she has been recognized in Ebony Magazine as most stylish professional women alongside Desiree Rogers and Thelma Golden. She is working on a new book which I can’t wait to read and she’s also assisting her sister with her musical career. I was inspired when I spoke to her as she is an outstanding and positive woman who has accomplished so much. Tracie also gave me some great advice about getting published. Tracie’s words of wisdom are “Never Limit Yourself”.
