Officially established in January 2010, Pirate Romance is proud to announce their 4th seasonal collection with their Spring/Summer 2012 offering. Created by former stylist, Joi French, Pirate Romance was developed as an answer to limited edition collections but with bridge price points. Each season, the designer draws inspiration from art, pop culture, geometry, and memories of her childhood favorites.
Using bursts of neon, fringe, hand-dyed turquoise, metals laced with leather, designer Joi French, takes us on a colorful journey this upcoming season. Inspired by her favorite childhood cartoon, JEM, Joi took the ideal of transformation and translated them into the jewelry.
“I wanted every woman to have the feeling of when she put on a piece or pieces of the jewelry that she somehow transformed; she became brighter, sparklier, flirtier!”
This collection is trend on using colors: green, pinks, oranges and blue and is sure to enliven any girls wardrobe!
Pirate Romance now in it’s second year has become a favorite of fashion forward celebrities such as Estelle, LaLa, Shaunie O’Neal and have been featured on television programs including X-Factor and Black Girls Rock!. In addition, Pirate Romance pieces have also graced the pages of Faint, Kontrol, and Icon magazines as well as over 50 other digital media outlets including Refinery29 and FashionIndie.com
