| I had the pleasure of previewing the Pre Fall 2012 collection by Rubin & Chapelle and loved what I saw!Rubin & Chapelle was launched in 1997 by Sonja Rubin and Kip Chapelle and currently operate two stores in the meatpacking district of NYC and Malibu. As members of the CFDA their collection has been spotted on the likes of Keira Knightley, Jessica Alba, Iman, Halle Berry, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez and most recently Meeka Claxton (styled by your truly).
This stunning and sensuous collection entitled “Mobility and Restriction” is exactly that! Inspired by Charlotte Rampling these beautiful silks, satins and chiffon pieces, constricted by waist belts with corset boning are sure to turn into a cult classic. While I am always a huge fan of the classic black and white, their fuchsia color blocked accordion pleated dress is to “die-for” and definitely a knock out piece! |
