Where were you on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 3-5 pm? I was at the Fashion Art Gallery presents Korto Momolu Autumn Winter 2012 Collection and what a presentation it was!
Held in the Cellar Bar at the Bryant Park Hotel, I could actually feel the electricity in the air as I made my way into the jam packed wall to wall space. Cameras flashing, models posing and people chatting and sipping made it one of the not-to-miss presentations of the season.
Korto was gracious enough to give me a minute of her time and described the inspiration behind her latest collection as the sexy, chic jet setting women (think Grace Kelly and Bridget Bardot). The collection included glamorous gowns, stylish jumpsuits and beautiful daywear ensuring cosmopolitan women have a wardrobe to be reckoned with as they dash off to exotic locales all over the world. The collection was modeled by contestants from Germany’s Next Top Model hosted by Heidi Klum, whom were on hand filming their final episodes. Already with a cult following, celebrities such as Randy Jackson, Cheri Dennis, Misa Hylton, Lola Ogunnaike and Sessilee Lopez, Harriet Cole and Dwight Eubanks were there to lend a celebratory hand.
As I was leaving the venue a little birdie told me that her next stop was Dubai. See what I am saying – Exotic. Congrats Korto, you got it going on!
