Macy’s is keeping up with the H&M and Target collaboration trends, with their Impulse line. The next designer to be working with them will be European favorite, Alberta Ferretti. The capsule collection titled ‘Doo.Ri hits Macy’s department stores Feb 15. Ferretti’s line debuts April 17th.
Until the launch, the details of the collection are on paper, in the sketches, Jeff Gennette, Macy’s chief merchandising officer described the collection to be “…an irresistible combination of bohemian styling and figure-conscious silhouettes, the Alberta Ferretti for Impulse collection will strike just the right chord with our Impulse customer.”
What is the Impulse woman to be excited for? The assortment includes bold hued dresses in maxi and strapless styles, bohemian blouses, abstract and oversized floral prints and lots of feminine details! All pieces of the collection are prices between $49-$120. The Ferretti and Doo.Ri collections are two of six designer collaborations with the Impulse brand in the last year. The most exclusive to date was Karl Lagerfeld’s last August.
Alberta Ferretti’s Impulse collaboration won’t be carried in all stores, only 185 out of the usual 220. For future designer capsule collections, Macys is planning a schedule of five a year. Her inspiration for the project was the Amalfi Coast, and with an April 17 launch date, just in time for Spring.
