The follow-up to Thor and The Avengers,” finds Thor fighting to restore order across the universe. Can he save his home, Asgard, and his beloved Jane Foster from darkness?
Released on November 8, 2013, “Dark World” was a Box Office smash with $85.7 million. This sequel featured more action than its predecessor. As in the first one, Thor‘s powers were taken away and he had to be proven worthy to get them back. In the sequel, the movie begins with Thor possessing all of his powers.
Stand out performances include the sarcastic sibling rivalry between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), occasional humorous banter between Thor’s love interest, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and her friend Darcy (Kat Dennings).
Rounding out the all-star cast is Christopher Yost, also one of the film’s writers; Christopher Markus; and veteran actors Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba.
