Jumping on board with savvy stores like J.Crew and URBNIC (the parent company of Free People, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters), Bebe, the high end American retailer, known for their low necklines and high skirt hems, aesthetic is branching out into the world of bridal wear. The stylish woman’s brand has outlets across the US, Europe and Asia and has a presence online. The high end bridal collection will be launched online and in four Bebe stores in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles March 2012. Prices will range from $950 to $2,500.

Project Runway’s Rami Kashou is the bridal designer of the bridal collection. Kashou wanted his gowns to be “feminine, elegant, timeless and romantic” as well as, “a celebration of the hour-glass figure.” The bridal line will include clutches, veils, jewelry and a bridesmaids’ dress line, priced from $150 to $300. As an added perk, the bridesmaid’s dresses can double as evening wear.

It has been rumored that Bebe is trying to switch up style gears in an attempt to court an older audience by producing a more mature aesthetic than in previous years. Kashou reported the line had something for every kind of bride. Emilia Fabricant, Bebe’s president, has said, when asked about BEBE’s future direction, that they are hoping to provide pieces that are versatile and effortless as well as multi-functional. No longer the days of outrageously loud fabrics and revealing cuts.  Bebe are beginning to raise the bar.
