For the launch of the line, Versace wanted to be as over the top as the colors used in the collection and asked both Prince and Nicki Minaj to perform. The collection is filled with wild colors and vibrant prints that dance across form fitting leather dresses, metallic dresses, and neon colored suits for men. Donatella Versace herself showed up for the opening celebration as well as to meet some of her eager fashion fans Thursday morning. Fashion renegades lined up outside of the Regent Street store in London patiently waiting for the store opening in the name of fashion. When asked which piece was the most sought after, it seems to be the studded leather dress in black. Donatella showed up wearing the pink version to the opening.
H&M is setting a wonderful trend with their designer partnerships. Rumor has it that Tom Ford may be next to do a line with the fast fashion powerhouse.
