In late October 2010, I visited the glittering town of Las Vegas for the first time. Like everyone else who visits, I was completely hypnotized by the city of lights. My husband (then fiancé) and I were getting married on our trip. No, no. Not eloping. We planned the trip! We were joined by a couple who we consider to be our best friends, and we spent four glorious days and nights enjoying what Las Vegas has to offer.

On our trip, we stayed at the beautiful Bellagio, one of the best Las Vegas hotels. While walking the elaborately decorated floors of the hotel mall, I came across the Chanel store. I died! I was so happy! That moment was one of the most memorable of my whole trip, besides getting married of course.

I have been in love with all things Chanel for as long as I can remember. I think Karl Lagerfeld is brilliant and innovative curator who sends spectacular clothes down the runway season after season. The bags and shoes are magnificent, and the makeup formulations are always so right on for my pale, combination skin. Just seeing those iconic double C’s makes my heart skip a beat.

So you can probably imagine my delight when recently I discovered that not only did the Chanel store in the Bellagio hotel just undergo a massive re-decoration, but the fashion powerhouse released special, limited edition items to celebrate the store’s re-opening and the city of Las Vegas.

One of the limited edition offerings is a four product makeup collection named “Las Vegas de Chanel.” It is being offered this spring in addition to Chanel’s primary spring collection “Harmonie de Printemps.” The collection is both elegant and radiant and will without a doubt be snapped up fast by beauty addicts and collectors.

Lucky Stripes Iridescent Powders for Eyes and Cheeks $95.00

Add glitzy glamour to your eyes and cheeks with Chanel’s Lucky Stripes palette. The subtle variations of gold, peach, and bronze are embossed with the same stars that can be found on the well known “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas!” sign. Use by applying each color individually to eyes, or use the beveled brush (included with the compact) to blend the stripes together to highlight and sculpt cheeks.

Dress your fingers up with dazzling gold using this semi-sheer gilded nail color on bare nails. Or bring new life to an old polish by painting on a top coat of Gold Finger to make the ordinary color sparkle and shine.
