Hey, Ladies! Spring is just around the corner. After being bundled up all winter long, many of us can’t wait to bare all. Well, maybe not all, but at least a little. What should we wear? With so many articles of clothing to choose from, indecisiveness isn’t surprising. We need something with flair and finesse, something that is sure to have us looking our best! Nothing says sweet and sassy like a sundress.

Popularized by Lily Pulitzer in the 1960s, sundresses are a must for every woman’s wardrobe. They are designed to expose the shoulders, back, and arms to keep us cool, and fashionable during warm weather.

Sundresses come in various fabrics and designs, which make them great for wearing on many occasions. For instance, a strapless sundress with a ribbon at the waist is the perfect attire for dinner and a movie, while a keyhole-back sundress with flowers is great for a walk on the beach. Polka dots and retro styles are also great ideas for parties. Any color of the rainbow is pleasing to the eye, but in the spring, you may want to opt for bright, pastel colors. We’re all different, so pick the style and color that suit you best.

Sundresses are also available in a variety of lengths. You can opt for 25 inches if you want to show some extra leg or 38 inches if you want to take that extra leg back. You may even want to go a little bit longer, for a more conservative look. Adjustable spaghetti straps add to the comfort of sundresses, while sweetheart necklines and pullover styles are good for shaping. Fabric is an important decision when purchasing a sundress. Polyester/silk blends work well for a classy yet playful look. Cotton/spandex blends are popular choices for comfort, appearance, and easy care. Since cotton is a natural fiber, it is great for letting the moisture from perspiration evaporate quickly. This helps in keeping the body cool, even on very hot and humid days. Sundresses with stretch smocking are also easy to put on or take off.

Seems like you need a new sundress ladies! Add sunglasses, a sunhat and the perfect sandals and you’ve got a springtime look to die for!
