This week Music Choice added Kanye West’s Graduation to their playlist.  Kanye’s personal life has overshadowed his music for quite some time but we have to give credit where it’s due – the man makes good music.  Collectively, as a society, we had a hard time forgiving him for ruining Taylor Swift’s moment during the 2009 MTV VMA’s.  Then we were magnetically drawn during the Amber Rose days.  Now, we’re critical about the Kim Kardashian choice.

His ability to wear his feelings on his sleeves and display brutal honesty has made him the talk of the town ever since his “Bush doesn’t care about Black people” statement.  Let’s not forget what placed him on the map to begin with.

I went back in time and remembered how West made his way into our radars in the early 2000’s with The College Dropout.  He solidified his place in music in 2007 with his third album, Graduation. He showered us with more dope beats, feel-good raps, and relatable lyrics.  He welcomed us to the Good Life with T-Pain.  We get nostalgic and romantic with Homecoming featuring Chris Martin.  He reminded us what makes us Stronger with the help of Daft Punk.  This is all in one album…there are plenty others – The College Dropout (previously mentioned), Late Registration, 808s & Heartbreaks, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
