Nars Modern Kabuki Holiday 2011
Inspired by his travels in Japan, Francois Nars has created gorgeous little luxuries for his Holiday 2011 Collections. Dubbed Modern Kabuki, the four piece collection is very wearable and presented in incredibly elegant packaging.
Inside a velvet pouch bearing the NARS logo, is the Hanamichi Kabuki Eyeshadow Palette ($65.00). Looking less like eyeshadow, and more like a piece of art, the palette contains gorgeous burnt sienna, mustard golds and intensely saturated black mums against the purest pearlescent white background. These hues interpret the dramatic Kabuki eye and are perfect for shading, contouring and highlighting. Inside the palette you will also find a delicate, hand-spun, Wisteria-wrapped eye brush.
The Mie Kabuki Mini Soft Touch Eyeshadow Pencil Cofferet ($55.00) is a set of six miniature eye shadow pencils formulated to glide effortless across lids and are easily blended. In Kabuki Theater, Mie is a moment of peak emotion and dramatic action. These pencils will help create your own Kabuki look while perhaps interjecting some mie into your life.
Four nail polishes in a red, gold, silver and black make up the Kuroko Kabuki Mini Nail Polish Cofferet ($35.00). High shine and chip resistentant, these high shine polishes offer mulitple options. The idea of a french manicure using the black and gold sounds unexpected and enchanting to me.
The most beautiful as far as packaging goes is the Kudoki Kabuki Lip Set. ($125.00) Named for the feminine and elegant dance of Kabuki theater, the lip set comes inside a keepsake bento box accompanied by a hand-spun, wisteria-wrapped lip brush. This set would be a gorgeous addition to your vanity. The three colors are a red, nude and hot pink, they are highly saturated and look stunning on.
Why not add some Kabuki to your look? Pick up one of these treasures for yourself or as a gift.
All of these products can be purchased at nordstrom.com but hurry, the limited edition items will fly off of the shelf!
