It has gotten to the point where people make awful assumptions about others based on their zip code. These assumptions can stem from accepting any and everything they read and/or hear (i.e. city rankings, media portrayals) about a particular place without exercising critical thinking.

Pizza is everyone’s favorite pastime. Being a Baltimore native, I’ve been told that I haven’t experienced pizza at all, until I’ve experienced it in New York City. For many years I’ve agreed until I’ve come across a place in in the Fells point area called BOP. BOP is an acronym for Brick Oven Pizza. As I walked through its wooden doors, I was taken aback by its Mediterranean ambiance, as well as the smooth jazz that filled the air. I was taken to a quiet table in the corner where I viewed the extensive menu. There were also organic and gluten free selections, which are a rarity, for many restaurants in Baltimore.
